The Belize Red Cross Society:

• Has its own Act of Incorporation and is a Humanitarian Voluntary Organization.
• We are Auxiliary to the Government of Belize in ALL Humanitarian Fields, especially in Disaster Management and Risk education, Social Assistance and Health with special focus in the area of prevention.
• A public authority may request action from the Belize Red Cross Society. The Belize Red Cross has the right to refuse to participate in any activity that conflicts with the Fundamental Principles or the Statutes of the Red Cross Movement.
• Operating in Belize as a National Society in its own rights for 33 years!

Belize Red Cross was recognized as ONE of 190 National Societies worldwide since 1984 by the International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies. The National Society celebrates 33 years as a National Society in its own rights in 2013.
